An elderly couple died after the woman, who weighed 128kg, slipped from the staircase and fell on her husband, killing them both in a tragic freak accident in Ramdham Society in Rajkot, on Monday July 4.<br />
Manjula Vithlani, 68, of Ramdham, India, fell as she hurried to check on her ill son Ashish on the floor above. Her husband Natvarlal suffered fatal head injuries when her 20 stone frame toppled onto him.<br />
Ashish, who was suffering from breathing problems, and his wife Nisha live on the first floor of the property, while the older couple lived below. According to a police spokesman, Pradhyuman Ravaiya,<br />
"At around 4am , Nisha came downstairs to get some medicine for Ashish. Her in-laws also woke up and hurriedly tried to go upstairs to check his health. However, Manjula could not keep her balance and slipped. She fell on Natvarlal who was climbing behind her. They were rushed to a private hospital where both died of cerebral haemorrhage,"<br />
"The couple always remained anxious about their son's health. "On getting to know that he had taken ill, they tried to reach the first floor in too much hurry." Ravaiya added.

A Palestinian terrorist infiltrated the Judean community of Kiryat Arba, located outside of Hebron and fatally stabbed a 13-year-old girl in her bedroom with a knife, today, June 30.<br />
She was at first listed in critical condition but later died of her wounds soon after the attack.<br />
The attacker identified as a 17-19-year-old Palestinian resident of the Arab village of Bani Na’im, broke into the closed community by breaching its fence. He entered a home nearby the fence, found the teenage girl sleeping in her bed and stabbed her repeatedly in the upper body before Kiryat Arba’s<br />
Israeli guards shot the attacker dead but not before he managed to stab one civilian security officer in the face. A Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedic who arrived on the scene found the teenage girl, identified as eighth-grader Hallel Yaffe Ariel, unconscious and without a pulse. She was loaded into an ambulance but quickly succumbed to her wounds.<br />
The wounded civilian guard, 30, was reported to be conscious and his injuries non-life threatening. He was evacuated to Jerusalem’s Hadassah Medical Center. His wife, a paramedic, was part of the responding MDA team.<br />
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyah, in a statement, called on Palestinian leaders to condemn the attack.<br />
"The horrific murder of an innocent girl in her bed sheds light on the bloodlust and lack of humanity displayed by the terrorists we are facing," he said

If futurologist Dr Ian Pearson is to be believed, women are set to dump men for robots and the revolution is not so far into the future, just ten years away. In a report he compiled on the future of sex, he claims that in as little as a decade, women will have more sex with cyborgs than with men and the practice will be as common as watching porn.<br />
Dr Pearson claims in his report that robot sex may become so popular that it will overtake human intercourse - and will be fully-fledged by 2050.<br />
In the report, commissioned by Bondara, the Dr Pearson claims:<br />
"A lot of people will still have reservations about sex with robots at first but gradually as they get used to them, as the AI (artificial intelligence) and mechanical behaviour and their feel improves, and they start to become friends with strong emotional bonds, that squeamishness will gradually evaporate."<br />
His reports claims that rather than view these machines as mere sex toys, humans may even fall in love with them, practice termed Robophilia.<br />
Many people have voiced concerns over this growing trend fearing the robots could soon replace human interaction.<br />

At least ten people were killed after a Boko Haram suicide bomber blew himself up in the town of Djakana near the Nigerian border, a security source said on Thursday.<br />
"Seven people were killed immediately, including the bomber. Four others later succumbed to their wounds", the security source said. "Others who were wounded are in hospital. We fear the number of victims could rise."<br />
Most of the victims were members of a local vigilante group tasked with hunting down Boko Haram fighters.<br />
"They were gathered in a video room when the attacker entered and triggered his explosives," the security source said.<br />
Boko Haram's seven-year insurgency has left at least 20,000 people dead in Nigeria and neighbouring Niger, Chad and Cameroon, and made more than 2.6 million homeless.

Court dismisses FFK's suit challenging his detention by EFCC, says EFCC has right to detain him<br />
Justice Olukayode Adeniyi of a Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed the fundamental human rights enforcement suit filed by Femi Fani-Kayode, challenging his detention by EFCC. Fani-Kayode who was arrested on May 9th, asked the court to release him from EFCC custody as his continuous detention was unconstitutional. The presiding judge, while delivering his judgement this afternoon, said FFK's detention was not illegal since it was backed by an order of court.<br />
Fani-Kayode alongside former Minister of Finance, Nenadi Usman were arraigned in court yesterday over and N4.9 billion fraud.<br />

A 10 year old boy Arya Permana who eats 5 meals a day, weighs 30 Stone (192kg) and quit school because he can't walk, has now been put on a special diet by his parents who feel he's going to die.<br />
The boy, who is the world's fattest 10 year old, gobbles down the heavy meals, consisting of rice, fish, beef, vegetable soup and Tempeh – a traditional soy patty – which is normally enough to feed two adults.<br />
His parents have been unable to find clothes that fit him, leading to Arya wearing just a sarong.<br />
His mother Rokayah Somantri said: “My son is growing up at a rapid rate and I am worried for his health.I do not know any other way to stop him from gaining more weight than to give him less food.<br />
He is perpetually hungry and has an enormous diet, and can actually eat meals of two adults at one time.<br />
“He is always tired and complains of shortness of breath. He only eats and sleeps, and when he is not done with both, he jumps into the bathtub and stays there for hours. There is no other pain than seeing your own child suffering. My son does not go to school because he cannot walk on his own and needs my round-the-clock assistance. He can only take small steps before he loses balance. I wish to see my son studying and playing with other kids in the neighbourhood."<br />
"Arya was fatter than my first son and other children in the village but we did not think it was a matter of concern. We were happy to see him fuller and considered him to be a happy, healthy child. But it was only a few years later when he bloated and his weight went out of control, we realised he was suffering from a disorder and needed medical attention."<br />
Dad Ade, who makes £100 a month, said:<br />
"They asked us to take him to better hospitals if we think he needs medical attention. I have spent money beyond my capacity on his treatment but I am a poor farmer and making ends meet is a big task for me. I have insufficient money to buy food to fulfil his large appetite. I borrow money so that he can eat. Of course, I cannot keep him starving.<br />
"I am exhausted now and I cannot afford expensive hospitals. But I hope to see my son perfectly normal one day.”<br />
Rokayah explained:<br />
"No mother wants to stop feeding her children but I am unfortunate and helpless. I have started putting him on a brown rice diet. I am not sure if it helps, but this is the only thing I can do to stop him from growing bigger.”

26 members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly today, at Okesa Junction, Ado Ekiti, protested federal government's harassment of Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose as well as the intimidation of Members of the Assembly with FG witch-hunting apparatus.<br />
The members who came prepared for arrest with their traveling bags to the spot of the sit down protest vowed to remain at the spot for the whole day. They promised to support Governor Fayose with whatever it takes, including sacrificing their lives saying this is 2016 and not 2006.
