Have you ever asked yourself the purpose for your existence? What is the essence of life? Is it to live, have a good job, marriage and comfort? Why really are we here?
Life is a given time of existence. We may live long or short, die at old or tender age. Whatever be the case, the essence of life is not in the length of time we spent but in how well we utilized the time. Death is a natural sweet exit and transition that should not connote fear because its actually inevitable. The greatest value of life is in fulfilling the purpose of its existence. That is what gives meaning to life.
What is purpose? What is the essence of life? The purpose of a thing defines its use. When purpose is not defined, abuse becomes inevitable. The purpose of life is the essential thing it was created for. Need creates purpose. Where there is a need, there is a purpose because purpose meets need. The purpose of life implies there is need to be met. A vacuum to be filled. If not for the need and vacuum then there is no need and life is of no use and value. Therefore since there is a need and vacuum which is a need, then there is the purpose for which life was created to fulfill. This is the sum of life's essence, the need and purpose.
If there is a need and purpose, then life has a simple assignment which is to fulfill the purpose by meeting the need. By meeting the need the purpose is achieved. So what is the essence of life? Simple! Meet the need, achieve the purpose. Anything short of this is not fulfilment. Yes we may achieve many things on earth but not fulfilled. Fulfilment is the satisfaction of the essence of life. Money, cars, fame, degrees, assets, are only means to an end. The end being the fulfilment of the essence of life. Greatness before the Creator of life is measure by how far the essence of it was achieved. Did the life meet a need? Did it achieve the purpose? And so, we may have long epitaph on our tomb, beautiful eulogies heralding our hagiography but the life being celebrated met no need, achieved not the purpose and essence for which it was created. Futility, wasted resources, unfulfilled are the words to summarize such a life. Life has its truest meaning in essence, essence and essence.
Remember, the essence is the purpose for for its existence which is to meet a need.
So give your life a meaning by discovering the purpose and meet the need.
