The phenomenon Boko Haram has been not just a night mare but a global spotlight. Interesting to note,  the concept has received so many social traffic more than any other issue over the past few years in Nigeria. If there is one stone left unturn it will be creating a Ministry of Boko Haram in Nigeria.  More than some ministries it has received so much funding and Budget allocation.

The insurgency that has held hostage the northeastern part of the country for years is somehow receiving a glimpse of hope to an end. Although being hampered by the network with ISIL sponsoring the group and other internal aid, the havoc seems to be minimal. However, as the Nigerian Military conquers and re-captures the Boko Haram stronghold in Borno, Adamawa and environs the after-effect of the insurgency gives a serious concern. No doubt, the psychological trauma is a fact.

The present administration has demonstrated commitment in putting a permanent end to Boko Haram insurgency in the country. With fresh raids on the terrorist camps, the president has reassured Nigerians of the possibility by the end of the year. However, alongside the pursuit of end to terrorism should be effective and prompt measures to rehabilitate the victims from the post-traumatic effects. Not just reconstruction of building, schools, hospitals and so on but a psychological help to the victims.  Re-absorbing human resources needs in the society is a step to human development and nation building. The biggest loss Nigeria suffered and suffer from insurgency is the loss of human resources. It is worse than destruction of property because human capacity is fundamental to the nation's economy.
Therefore the need for rehabilitation of this human resources cannot be overemphasized.
